Matrix Theory on Non-Orientable Surfaces
Gysbert Zwart

TL;DR
This paper develops matrix theory descriptions for M-theory on non-orientable surfaces, specifically the Mobius strip and Klein bottle, linking them to matrix string theories of certain string models.
Contribution
It introduces novel matrix theory formulations for M-theory on non-orientable surfaces, connecting to CHL string and orbifold type IIA string theories.
Findings
Matrix theory descriptions for M-theory on Mobius strip and Klein bottle.
Connection to matrix string theories of CHL and orbifold type IIA strings.
New insights into non-orientable surface compactifications.
Abstract
We construct the Matrix theory descriptions of M-theory on the Mobius strip and the Klein bottle. In a limit, these provide the matrix string theories for the CHL string and an orbifold of type IIA string theory.
