TL;DR
This paper introduces a new threebrane soliton solution in M-theory fivebrane that preserves half of the supersymmetry and can be reduced to various D-branes, advancing understanding of M-theory brane dynamics.
Contribution
It presents a novel threebrane soliton solution in M-theory fivebrane that preserves supersymmetry and connects to D-branes through dimensional reduction.
Findings
New threebrane soliton preserving half supersymmetry
Dimensional reduction yields various D-branes
Enhances understanding of M-theory brane configurations
Abstract
We discuss the supersymmetry algebra of the M theory fivebrane and obtain a new threebrane soliton preserving half of the six-dimensional supersymmetry. This solution is dimensionally reduced to various D-p-branes.
