The string tension in massive $QCD_2$
A. Armoni, Y. Frishman, J. Sonnenschein

TL;DR
This paper calculates the string tension in massive QCD2, showing it vanishes for massless quarks and deriving its dependence on representations when a small mass is introduced.
Contribution
It provides a detailed calculation of string tension in massive QCD2, revealing its dependence on quark mass and representations, which was not previously established.
Findings
String tension vanishes for zero quark mass.
A non-zero tension appears with small quark mass.
Tension depends on the representations of charges.
Abstract
We compute the string tension in massive . It is shown that the string tension vanishes when the mass of the dynamical quark is zero, with no dependence on the representations of the dynamical or of the external charges. When a small mass () is added, a tension appears and we calculate its value as a function of the representations.
