On the Chern-Simons topological term at finite temperature
R. Gonzalez Felipe

TL;DR
This paper computes the finite-temperature effective action's topological Chern-Simons term for 2+1 massive fermions under a constant background field, analyzing gauge invariance issues at finite temperature.
Contribution
It provides a detailed calculation of the Chern-Simons term at finite temperature and discusses gauge invariance, extending previous zero-temperature results.
Findings
Finite-temperature Chern-Simons term derived for 2+1 massive fermions.
Gauge invariance of the effective action analyzed at finite temperature.
Results highlight temperature dependence of topological terms.
Abstract
The parity-violating topological term in the effective action for 2+1 massive fermions is computed at finite temperature in the presence of a constant background field strength tensor. Gauge invariance of the finite-temperature effective action is also discussed.
