TL;DR
This paper calculates the exact parity-breaking terms in the effective action for massive fermions in 2+1 dimensions within Abelian and non-Abelian gauge backgrounds, using anomaly-based methods.
Contribution
It introduces a precise computation of induced parity-breaking effects at finite temperature for both Abelian and non-Abelian gauge fields, leveraging chiral anomaly techniques.
Findings
Exact parity-breaking effective action terms derived.
Applicable to both Abelian and non-Abelian gauge backgrounds.
Method based on anomaly of dimensionally reduced theory.
Abstract
We compute the exact canonically induced parity breaking part of the effective action for 2+1 massive fermions in particular Abelian and non Abelian gauge field backgrounds. The method of computation resorts to the chiral anomaly of the dimensionally reduced theory.
