The Coulomb Branch of (4,4) Supersymmetric Field Theories in Two Dimensions
Duiliu-Emanuel Diaconescu, Nathan Seiberg

TL;DR
This paper investigates (4,4) supersymmetric 2D field theories with a Coulomb branch, elucidating their connection to string theory and the relation between A-D-E groups and affine SU(2) modular invariants.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of (4,4) supersymmetric theories with Coulomb branches and clarifies their link to A-D-E classifications and string theory applications.
Findings
Established the relation between A-D-E groups and affine SU(2) modular invariants.
Analyzed the structure of (4,4) supersymmetric theories with Coulomb branches.
Connected supersymmetric field theories to string theory contexts.
Abstract
We study (4,4) supersymmetric field theories in two dimensions with a one dimensional Coulomb branch. These theories have applications in string theory. Our analysis explains the known relation between groups and modular invariants of affine SU(2).
