Higher-derivative supergravity in U(1) superspace
Regis Le Du (CPT-CNRS Marseille)

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the structure of curvature squared terms in chirally extended supergravity, focusing on the Fayet-Iliopoulos D-term and the coupling of matter, exploring extensions to U(1) supergravity and equivalence to scalar-tensor theories.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of higher-derivative terms in supergravity and discusses the extension of the equivalence mechanism to U(1) supergravity.
Findings
Curvature squared terms are fully characterized in chirally extended supergravity.
The role of the Fayet-Iliopoulos D-term is clarified.
Extension to U(1) supergravity and matter coupling is discussed.
Abstract
The complete structure of curvature squared terms is analyzed in the context of chirally extended supergravity, with special emphasis on the gravitationally induced Fayet-Iliopoulos D--term. Coupling of (chiral) matter is discussed in relation with a possible extension to U(1) supergravity of the equivalence mechanism between and General Relativity coupled to a scalar.
