Ramond-Ramond Central Charges in the Supersymmetry Algebra of the Superstring
Nathan Berkovits (IFT/UNESP, Sao Paulo)

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the supersymmetry algebra of the free massless sector of Type II superstring theory includes Ramond-Ramond central charges, derived from a recently constructed action using RNS superstring field theory.
Contribution
It shows that the supersymmetry transformations satisfy an N=2 D=10 algebra with Ramond-Ramond central charges in the context of superstring field theory.
Findings
Supersymmetry algebra includes Ramond-Ramond central charges.
Constructed using RNS superstring field theory.
Validates the algebra with the recently developed action.
Abstract
The free action for the massless sector of the Type II superstring was recently constructed using closed RNS superstring field theory. The supersymmetry transformations of this action are shown to satisfy an N=2 D=10 SUSY algebra with Ramond-Ramond central charges.
