Contribution
It introduces a novel application of Halpern's formulation to effective QED3, emphasizing gauge invariance and non-local interactions.
Findings
Successful reformulation of effective QED3 using pseudovector fields
Demonstration of gauge invariance in the new formulation
Application to multiple examples illustrating the approach
Abstract
Halpern's field strength's formulation of gauge theories is applied to effective QED_3, namely, a gauge invariant theory for an Abelian gauge field with non-localities and self-interactions. The resulting description in terms of the pseudovector field is applied to different examples.
