Anomalies and Renormalization of BFYM Theory
Marc Henneaux

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the perturbative renormalization properties of BF formulation of Yang-Mills theories are equivalent to those of the standard formulation across all spacetime dimensions, based on cohomological theorems.
Contribution
It establishes the equivalence of renormalization properties between BF and standard Yang-Mills formulations using cohomological methods.
Findings
Renormalization properties are identical in both formulations.
Results hold in any number of spacetime dimensions.
Based on established cohomological theorems.
Abstract
The (perturbative) renormalization properties of the BF formulation of Yang-Mills gauge models are shown to be identical to those of the usual, second order formulation. This result holds in any number of spacetime dimensions and is a direct consequence of cohomological theorems established by G. Barnich, F. Brandt and the author (Commun.Math.Phys., 174 (1995) 57).
