P. Saltsidis

TL;DR
This paper explores the quantization of tensionless p-branes, revealing their conformal invariance and critical dimension, and demonstrates a consistent quantization scheme across dimensions.
Contribution
It introduces a Hamiltonian BRST approach to quantize tensionless p-branes and identifies the critical dimension for conformal invariance.
Findings
Quantization is consistent in any space-time dimension.
Critical dimension for conformal tensionless p-branes is d=2.
Constraint algebra has a simple form with central extensions.
Abstract
The quantization of the tensionless p-brane is discussed. Inspection of the constraint algebra reveals that the central extensions for the p-branes have a simple form. Using a Hamiltonian BRST scheme we find that the quantization is consistent in any space-time dimension while the quantization of the conformal tensionless p-brane gives a critical dimension .
