J. M. F. Labastida, M. Marino

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how the baryon number in N=2 supersymmetric QCD can be twisted to connect topological monopole theories with Spin^c structures, exploring the twisting process and anomaly roles.
Contribution
It introduces a novel twisting of baryon number in N=2 supersymmetric QCD to link topological monopole theories with Spin^c structures, including anomaly considerations.
Findings
Baryon number twisting couples monopole theories to Spin^c structures.
The twisting process is related to gauging global currents.
Anomalies influence the twisting procedure.
Abstract
We show that the baryon number of N=2 supersymmetric QCD can be twisted in order to couple the topological field theory of non-abelian monopoles to -structures. To motivate the construction, we also consider some aspects of the twisting procedure as a gauging of global currents in two and four dimensions, in particular the role played by anomalies.
