TL;DR
This paper develops an operator formalism to compute scattering amplitudes of bosonic strings interacting with multiple D-branes, revealing a relation between multi-brane and open string loop amplitudes.
Contribution
It introduces a boundary state approach to calculate multi-brane scattering amplitudes, connecting multi-Reggeon vertices with D-brane configurations.
Findings
Amplitudes with h parallel D-branes resemble those with h-1 open string loops.
Constructed a boundary state formalism for multi-brane scattering.
Explicitly derived relations between multi-brane and open string loop amplitudes.
Abstract
We develop an operator formalism to compute scattering amplitudes of arbitrary bosonic string states in the background of many D-branes. Specifically, we construct a suitable boundary state which we use to saturate the multi-Reggeon vertex in order to obtain the generator of multi-membrane scattering amplitudes. We explicitly show that the amplitudes with parallel D-branes are similar to amplitudes with open string loops.
