Symplectic Structures and Self -dual Fields in (4k+2) Dimensions
Ioannis Giannakis, V. P. Nair

TL;DR
This paper explores symplectic structures for chiral bosons and self-dual fields in specific dimensions, including dimensional reduction from six dimensions, advancing understanding of their mathematical properties.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of symplectic structures and self-dual fields in (4k+2) dimensions, including their behavior under dimensional reduction.
Findings
Symplectic structures for chiral bosons in (1+1) dimensions are characterized.
Self-dual fields in (4k+2) dimensions are analyzed with new insights.
Dimensional reduction from six dimensions reveals connections to lower-dimensional theories.
Abstract
We discuss symplectic structures for the chiral boson in (1+1) dimensions and the self-dual field in (4k+2) dimensions. Dimensional reduction of the six-dimensional field on a torus is also considered.
