Entropy of Schwarzschild black hole and string-black hole correspondence
Sergey N. Solodukhin

TL;DR
This paper explores the relationship between string theory and black hole entropy, demonstrating a match including subleading terms and proposing a string interaction correction to better align the two entropy calculations.
Contribution
It introduces a $g^2$-dependent modification of string entropy to improve the correspondence with Schwarzschild black hole entropy, including subleading logarithmic terms.
Findings
String entropy matches black hole entropy including logarithmic corrections.
String interaction effects are necessary for accurate entropy correspondence.
Proposed $g^2$-dependent correction enhances the entropy matching.
Abstract
The string-black hole correspondence is considered in the context of the correspondence principle proposed recently by Horowitz and Polchinski. We demonstrate that the entropy of string states and the entropy of a Schwarzschild black hole can be matched including the subleading terms which depend on mass logarithmically. We argue the necessity to include the string interaction (with coupling ) in the consideration and propose the -dependent modification of the string entropy. The matching of it with the entropy of Schwarzschild black hole is analyzed.
