The Gauge-Fixing Fermion in BRST Quantisation
Alice Rogers (King's College London)

TL;DR
This paper establishes conditions for the gauge-fixing fermion in BRST quantisation to ensure correct path integral formulation of constrained systems.
Contribution
It provides specific criteria for the gauge-fixing fermion in BRST quantisation, ensuring proper Hamiltonian extension and path integral consistency.
Findings
Derived conditions for the gauge-fixing fermion $$ in BRST quantisation.
Ensured the extended Hamiltonian yields the correct path integral.
Clarified the role of the gauge-fixing fermion in constrained systems.
Abstract
Conditions which must be satisfied by the gauge-fixing fermion used in the BRST quantisation of constrained systems are established. These ensure that the extension of the Hamiltonian by the gauge-fixing term (where is the BRST charge) gives the correct path integral.
