Massless Limits of Massive Tensor Fields II --- Infrared regularization of Fierz-Pauli model ---
Shinji Hamamoto (Toyama Univ.)

TL;DR
This paper applies Izawa's gauge-fixing procedure twice to the Fierz-Pauli massive tensor field theory, demonstrating how the second application removes residual massless singularities and clarifies the massless limit.
Contribution
It introduces a novel double gauge-fixing approach to better handle massless singularities in the Fierz-Pauli model.
Findings
Second gauge-fixing removes residual singularities
Massless limit of the tensor field theory is clarified
Enhanced understanding of infrared regularization in massive tensor fields
Abstract
Izawa's gauge-fixing procedure based on BRS symmetry is applied twice to the massive tensor field theory of Fierz-Pauli type. It is shown the second application can remove massless singularities which remain after the first application. Massless limit of the theory is discussed.
