D. Bazeia, J. R. S. Nascimento

TL;DR
This paper develops a gauge invariant method to compute the effective potential for Abelian Maxwell-Chern-Simons systems, providing an alternative to traditional approaches and comparing results for consistency.
Contribution
It introduces a gauge invariant formulation of the effective potential for Abelian Maxwell-Chern-Simons systems, offering a new computational approach.
Findings
The gauge invariant method produces results consistent with standard calculations.
The approach simplifies the analysis of gauge theories with Chern-Simons terms.
Comparison validates the effectiveness of the gauge invariant formulation.
Abstract
We investigate the effective potential for Abelian Maxwell--Chern--Simons systems. The calculations follow an alternate approach, recently proposed as a gauge invariant formulation of the effective potential, constructed in terms of a gauge invariant order parameter. We compare the results with another investigation, obtained within a standard route of calculating the effective potential.
