Action Principle for the Classical Dual Electrodynamics
P.C.R. Cardoso de Mello, S. Carneiro, M.C. Nemes

TL;DR
This paper develops a non-local action principle for classical dual electrodynamics that incorporates both electric and magnetic currents, leading to the derivation of the expected local equations.
Contribution
It introduces a novel non-local Lagrangian framework for dual electrodynamics including magnetic monopoles, unifying electric and magnetic currents.
Findings
Derivation of local equations from a non-local Lagrangian.
Inclusion of magnetic currents in classical electrodynamics.
Framework consistent with expected dual equations.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to formulate an action principle which allows for the construction of a classical lagrangean including both electric and magnetic currents. The lagrangean is non-local and shown to yield all the expected (local) equations for dual electrodynamics.
