Non-trivial Fixed Points of The Renormalization Group in Six Dimensions
Nathan Seiberg

TL;DR
This paper investigates the existence of non-trivial fixed points in six-dimensional supersymmetric field theories, using string theory examples and proposing the potential for many more such theories.
Contribution
It provides necessary conditions for non-trivial fixed points in 6D supersymmetric theories and suggests the existence of numerous additional examples beyond known string theory models.
Findings
Necessary conditions for fixed points identified
String theory examples support the existence of fixed points
Conjecture of many more fixed points in 6D supersymmetric theories
Abstract
We start a systematic analysis of supersymmetric field theories in six dimensions. We find necessary conditions for the existence of non-trivial interacting fixed points. String theory provides us with examples of such theories. We conjecture that there are many other examples.
