Four-dimensional High-Branes as Intersecting D-Branes
E. Bergshoeff, M. de Roo, S. Panda

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that certain four-dimensional supersymmetric high-brane solutions can be understood as intersections of ten-dimensional D-branes, linking them to known black hole solutions through T-duality.
Contribution
It provides a new interpretation of four-dimensional high-branes as intersecting D-branes and connects these solutions to extremal black holes via T-duality.
Findings
High-branes can be viewed as intersecting D-branes in ten dimensions.
The solutions correspond to extremal black holes with specific scalar couplings.
T-duality relates these high-branes to known black hole solutions.
Abstract
We show that a class of extremal four-dimensional supersymmetric ``high-branes'', i.e. string and domain wall solutions, can be interpreted as intersections of four ten-dimensional Dirichlet branes. These solutions are related, via -duality in ten dimensions, to the four-dimensional extremal Maxwell/scalar black holes that are characterized by a scalar coupling parameter with .
