Coloured Black Holes in Higher Curvature String Gravity
P. Kanti, K. Tamvakis

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates the existence of black hole solutions with non-trivial dilaton and Yang Mills hair in a higher curvature string gravity model, analyzing their properties both analytically and numerically.
Contribution
It provides the first numerical evidence of coloured black holes with hair in a 4D effective superstring gravity framework including Gauss-Bonnet corrections.
Findings
Existence of black hole solutions with non-trivial dilaton and Yang Mills hair.
Numerical demonstration of these solutions in SU(2) gauge fields.
Discussion of thermodynamical properties of the solutions.
Abstract
We consider the combined Yang Mills-Dilaton-Gravity system in the presence of a Gauss-Bonnet term as it appears in the Effective Superstring Action. We give analytical arguments and demonstrate numerically the existence of black hole solutions with non-trivial dilaton and Yang Mills hair for the particular case of SU(2) gauge fields. The thermodynamical properties of the solutions are also discussed.
