Nathan Seiberg, Stephen Shenker

TL;DR
This paper investigates the structure of the hypermultiplet moduli space in type II string compactifications on Calabi-Yau manifolds, utilizing dualities and recent three-dimensional field theory results.
Contribution
It provides new insights into the hypermultiplet moduli space by applying IIA/IIB duality and recent advances in three-dimensional field theory.
Findings
Characterization of the hypermultiplet moduli space structure
Application of duality to relate different compactifications
Integration of recent 3D field theory results
Abstract
We study the hypermultiplet moduli space of the type II string compactified on a Calabi-Yau space . We do this by using IIA/IIB duality in a compactification of the same theory on and by using recent results on three dimensional field theory.
