Electric-Magnetic Black Hole Duality
S. Deser, M. Henneaux, C. Teitelboim

TL;DR
This paper extends duality invariance in Maxwell theory to include electric and magnetic charges, showing that actions of equally charged electric and magnetic black holes are identical, revealing a fundamental symmetry.
Contribution
It introduces a generalized duality invariance for Maxwell actions with charges in arbitrary backgrounds, highlighting a new symmetry between electric and magnetic black holes.
Findings
Actions of equally charged electric and magnetic black holes are equal

Abstract
We generalize duality invariance for the free Maxwell action in an arbitrary background geometry to include the presence of electric and magnetic charges. In particular, it follows that the actions of equally charged electric and magnetic black holes are equal.
