The Super P-Brane Scan and S Duality
Khaled Abdel-Khalek (Phys. Dept./Lecce Univ.)

TL;DR
This paper revisits the classification of super p-branes considering recent dualities, highlighting the significance of metric signatures and discovering a self-dual super 5-brane in 14 dimensions with specific signatures.
Contribution
It introduces the importance of metric signatures in the super p-brane scan and identifies a novel self-dual super 5-brane in 14 dimensions.
Findings
The super p-brane scan depends critically on metric signatures.
Existence of an S self-dual super 5-brane in D=14 with signatures (7,7) or (11,3).
Revised super p-brane classification considering dualities.
Abstract
Taking into account the recent dualities we rederive the super p-brane scan. Our main results are the importance of the metric's signature and the existence of an S self-dual super 5-brane at D=14 with signature (7,7) or (11,3).
