Ian I. Kogan, Nick E. Mavromatos, John F. Wheater

TL;DR
This paper develops logarithmic operators to describe D-brane recoil, linking time translation with world-sheet rescaling, and explores implications for the string uncertainty principle and D-brane center-of-mass measurement.
Contribution
It introduces a novel pair of logarithmic operators specifically associated with D-brane recoil, establishing a new connection between time translation and world-sheet rescaling.
Findings
Logarithmic operators encode D-brane recoil effects.
A relationship between string uncertainty and logarithmic operators is identified.
Framework for measuring D-brane center-of-mass coordinate is discussed.
Abstract
We construct the pair of logarithmic operators associated with the recoil of a -brane. This construction establishes a connection between a translation in time and a world-sheet rescaling. The problem of measuring the centre of mass coordinate of the -brane is considered and the relation between the string uncertainty principle and the logarithmic operators is discussed.
