Fermionic String from Abelian Higgs Model with monopoles and $\Theta$-term
E.T. Akhmedov (ITEP)

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that in a specific Abelian Higgs model with monopoles and a theta-term, the long-distance behavior can be described by a sum over fermionic string world-sheets with particular boundary conditions, revealing a fermionic string structure.
Contribution
It establishes a novel equivalence between a four-dimensional Abelian Higgs model with monopoles and theta-term and a sum over fermionic string world-sheets at large distances.
Findings
For ta=2a0a7, the theory reduces to a sum over fermionic string world-sheets.
The model exhibits fermionic string behavior in the large-distance limit.
Boundary conditions on strings are of Dirichlet type.
Abstract
The four dimensional Abelian Higgs model with monopoles and -term is considered in the limit of the large mass of the higgs boson. We show that for the theory is equivalent, at large distances, to summation over all possible world-sheets of fermionic strings with Dirichlet type boundary conditions on string coordinates.
