TL;DR
This paper explores the properties of p-brane solutions in supergravity, providing specific examples such as dyonic membranes and intersecting M-branes to illustrate their characteristics.
Contribution
It introduces detailed descriptions of p-brane solutions, including new explicit examples within supergravity theories.
Findings
Characterization of p-brane solutions in supergravity
Explicit dyonic membrane solutions in D=8 supergravity
Intersecting M-brane solutions in D=11 supergravity
Abstract
We describe the qualitative properties of p-brane solutions of supergravity theories and present two examples of p-brane solutions, first the dyonic membrane solutions of N=2 D=8 supergravity and second the intersecting M-brane solutions of D=11 supergravity.
