Makoto Natsuume, Norisuke Sakai, and Masamichi Sato (Tokyo Institute, of Technology)

TL;DR
This paper investigates string scattering in a (2+1)-dimensional rotating black hole background, calculating the Hawking temperature through Bogoliubov transformations, contributing to understanding quantum effects in lower-dimensional black holes.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of string scattering and Hawking radiation in the (2+1)-dimensional black hole modeled by the $SL(2, R)/Z$ WZW orbifold, a novel approach in this context.
Findings
Calculated the Hawking temperature for the rotating black hole.
Analyzed the $1 ightarrow 1$ tachyon scattering process.
Connected string scattering results with black hole thermodynamics.
Abstract
The WZW orbifold describes the (2+1)-dimensional black hole which approaches anti-de~Sitter space asymptotically. We study the tachyon scattering off the rotating black hole background and calculate the Hawking temperature using the Bogoliubov transformation.
