TL;DR
This paper reviews special geometry in N=2 supersymmetric theories, focusing on symplectic reparametrizations, monopoles, dyons, and perturbative corrections in heterotic superstring vacua.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of special geometry features and their implications for monopoles, dyons, and string theory corrections in N=2 supersymmetric models.
Findings
Symplectic reparametrizations are crucial for understanding monopoles and dyons.
Perturbative corrections significantly affect the low-energy effective action.
The paper clarifies the role of special geometry in string theory contexts.
Abstract
We review characteristic features of N=2 supersymmetric vector multiplets and discuss symplectic reparametrizations and their relevance for monopoles and dyons. We close with an analysis of perturbative corrections to the low-energy effective action of N=2 heterotic superstring vacua.
