H. Lu, C.N. Pope, E. Sezgin, K.S. Stelle

TL;DR
This paper discovers new dilatonic p-brane solitons in specific supergravity theories, preserving half of the supersymmetry, using only metric and dilaton fields, and extends to more general dilatonic branes in various dimensions.
Contribution
It introduces new 4-brane and 5-brane solitons in massive gauged supergravities, expanding the known solutions with preserved supersymmetry and generalizing dilatonic branes across dimensions.
Findings
New 4-brane and 5-brane solitons preserving half supersymmetry.
Solutions utilize only metric and dilaton fields.
Generalized dilatonic (D-2)-branes in D dimensions.
Abstract
We find new 4-brane and 5-brane solitons in massive gauged , and , supergravities. In each case, the solutions preserve half of the original supersymmetry. These solutions make use of the metric and dilaton fields only. We also present more general dilatonic -branes in dimensions.
