Energy-Momentum Tensor Improvements in Two Dimensions
S. Deser, R. Jackiw

TL;DR
This paper explores improvements to the energy-momentum tensor in two-dimensional scalar field theories, focusing on conformal anomalies and dual couplings to achieve chiral properties.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to improve the energy-momentum tensor using dual couplings, enhancing the understanding of conformal anomalies in 2D scalar fields.
Findings
Improved the gravitational coupling for conformal anomalies.
Proposed a dual coupling to generate a chiral energy-momentum tensor.
Enhanced the theoretical framework for 2D scalar field analysis.
Abstract
We discuss some aspects of the two-dimensional scalar field, considering particularly the action for the conformal anomaly as an ``improved'' gravitational coupling, and the possibility of introducing a dual coupling, which provides a ``chiral'' energy-momentum tensor improvement.
