H. Lu, C.N. Pope, E. Sezgin, K.S. Stelle

TL;DR
This paper identifies new classes of supersymmetric p-brane solutions in supergravity theories, called 'stainless' solutions, which cannot be extended to higher dimensions and include various branes in dimensions up to 9.
Contribution
It introduces several new 'stainless' supersymmetric p-brane solutions across dimensions up to 9, expanding the known landscape of supergravity solutions.
Findings
New 6-brane and 5-brane solutions in D=9
A string solution in D=5
Particles in D=5 to 9
Abstract
The elementary and solitonic supersymmetric -brane solutions to supergravity theories form families related by dimensional reduction, each headed by a maximal (`stainless') member that cannot be isotropically dimensionally oxidized into higher dimensions. We find several new families, headed by stainless solutions in various dimensions . In some cases, these occur with dimensions that coincide with those of descendants of known families, but since the new solutions are stainless, they are necessarily distinct. The new stainless supersymmetric solutions include a 6-brane and a 5-brane in , a string in , and particles in all dimensions .
