Matrix Model Approach to $d>2$ Non-critical Superstrings
Akikazu Hashimoto, Igor R. Klebanov

TL;DR
This paper explores a matrix model approach to non-critical superstrings in dimensions greater than two, using light-cone quantization and numerical methods to identify a critical coupling where the model describes a 2+1 dimensional superstring.
Contribution
It introduces a matrix model framework for non-critical superstrings in higher dimensions and provides preliminary numerical evidence of a critical point corresponding to a 2+1 dimensional superstring.
Findings
Numerical evidence of a critical coupling value
Model describes a 2+1D non-critical superstring at criticality
Application of light-cone quantization to matrix models
Abstract
We apply light-cone quantization to a dimensional supersymmetric field theory of large N matrices. We provide some preliminary numerical evidence that when the coupling constant is tuned to a critical value, this model describes a 2+1 dimensional non-critical superstring.
