Hyeonjoon Shin, Young-Jai Park, Yongduk Kim, and Won T. Kim

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the nonlocal symmetry anomaly in two-dimensional chiral QED can be canceled using the Wess-Zumino action, which is traditionally used to cancel gauge anomalies.
Contribution
It reveals a novel application of the Wess-Zumino action to cancel nonlocal symmetry anomalies in chiral QED.
Findings
Nonlocal symmetry anomaly can be canceled by Wess-Zumino action.
Wess-Zumino action effectively cancels gauge anomalies in 2D chiral QED.
The approach provides insight into anomaly cancellation mechanisms.
Abstract
We show that the anomaly of nonlocal symmetry can be canceled by the well-known Wess-Zumino acton which cancels the gauge anomaly in the two-dimensional chiral electrodynamics.
