TL;DR
This paper develops a supersymmetric extension of a Chern-Simons coupled super-QED model by using a novel formulation and dimensional reduction, revealing new insights into supermultiplet interactions in lower dimensions.
Contribution
It introduces a Parkes-Siegel formulation for massive Abelian N=1 super-QED coupled to a self-dual supermultiplet with dimensional reduction to (1+2) dimensions.
Findings
Derived a supersymmetric extension of τ₃QED₁+₂ with Chern-Simons coupling.
Showed how dimensional reduction yields a natural supersymmetric model.
Provided a new formulation for supermultiplet interactions in lower-dimensional space-time.
Abstract
In this letter, we present the Parkes-Siegel formulation for the massive Abelian super-{\QED} coupled to a self-dual supermultiplet, by introducing a chiral multiplier superfield. We show that after carrying out a suitable dimensional reduction from () to () dimensions, and performing some necessary truncations, the simple supersymmetric extension of the QED coupled to a Chern-Simons term naturally comes out.
