TL;DR
This paper introduces new string-like soliton solutions across various heterotic string theories and explores their relation to T-duality and supersymmetry breaking mechanisms.
Contribution
It provides novel classes of soliton solutions in multiple heterotic string theories and links these solutions to T-duality and supersymmetry breaking.
Findings
New soliton solutions in heterotic string theories
Connection between T-duality subgroup and supersymmetry breaking
Analogous solutions in lower-dimensional compactifications
Abstract
We present new classes of string-like soliton solutions in (; ), (; ) and (; ) heterotic string theory. Connections are made between the solution-generating subgroup of the -duality group of the compactification and the number of spacetime supersymmetries broken. Analogous solutions are also noted in (; ) compactifications, where a different form of supersymmetry breaking arises.
