Jerome P. Gauntlett

TL;DR
This paper reviews the spectrum of H-monopoles in heterotic string theory compactified on a six-torus and explores its connection to the S-duality conjecture, highlighting the role of dualities in string theory.
Contribution
It provides a brief review of H-monopoles and their relation to S-duality in heterotic string theory, based on collaborative research from 1995.
Findings
H-monopoles spectrum analyzed in heterotic string compactification
Connection between H-monopoles and S-duality conjecture established
Contributes to understanding of dualities in string theory
Abstract
The spectrum of -monopoles of the heterotic string compactified on a six torus and its relationship to the -duality conjecture is briefly reviewed. It is based on work done in collaboration with J. Harvey and is a contribution to the proceedings of Strings '95, USC, March 1995.
