One-loop effective action for Einstein gravity in special background gauge
P.M.Lavrov, A.A.Reshetnyak

TL;DR
This paper calculates the one-loop effective action for Einstein gravity in a specific gauge and demonstrates its gauge independence on shell, contributing to understanding quantum gravity's gauge invariance.
Contribution
It provides the first calculation of the one-loop effective action for Einstein gravity in a special background gauge up to first order in the gauge parameter.
Findings
Effective action is gauge independent on shell.
Calculation is performed up to first order in gauge parameter.
Supports gauge invariance in quantum gravity calculations.
Abstract
The one-loop effective action for Einstein gravity in a special one-parameter background gauge is calculated up to first order in a gauge parameter. It is shown that the effective action does not depend upon the gauge parameter on shell.
