Myriam Mondragon, Lukas Nellen, Michael G. Schmidt, Christian, Schubert

TL;DR
This paper develops a world-line action framework for Dirac particles interacting with scalar fields, enabling efficient computation of loop diagrams and effective actions in Yukawa models via path integrals.
Contribution
It introduces a novel world-line formalism for spinning particles coupled to scalar backgrounds, facilitating calculations in Yukawa theories.
Findings
Provides a new method for calculating loop diagrams in Yukawa models.
Enables computation of effective actions using world-line path integrals.
Simplifies analysis of Dirac particles in scalar fields.
Abstract
We construct the world-line action for a Dirac particle coupled to a classical scalar or pseudo-scalar background field. This action can be used to compute loop diagrams and the effective action in the Yukawa model using the world-line path-integral formalism for spinning particles.
