Yoonbai Kim, Sho Tsujimaru, Koichi Yamawaki

TL;DR
This paper investigates spontaneous symmetry breaking and Nambu-Goldstone bosons within the discretized light-front quantization framework, demonstrating that proper zero mode treatment and regularization yield accurate descriptions of the NG phase.
Contribution
It introduces a method to correctly describe Nambu-Goldstone bosons on the light-front by handling zero modes and regularization in a 3+1 dimensional linear sigma model.
Findings
Correct zero mode treatment is essential for NG boson description.
Regularization with NG boson mass reproduces expected NG phase.
Framework applicable to higher-dimensional models.
Abstract
Spontaneous breakdown of the continuous symmetry is studied in the framework of discretized light-front quantization. We consider linear sigma model in 3+1 dimensions and show that the careful treatment of zero modes together with the regularization of the theory by introducing NG boson mass leads to the correct description of Nambu-Goldstone phase on the light-front.
