Quantal Overlapping Resonance Criterion in the Pullen Edmonds Model
S. Graffi, V.R. Manfredi, L. Salasnich

TL;DR
This paper introduces a quantum analog of the resonance overlap criterion to identify chaos onset in the Pullen-Edmonds model, demonstrating good agreement between analytical predictions and numerical simulations.
Contribution
It presents a novel quantum resonance overlap criterion for chaos detection in the Pullen-Edmonds model, bridging classical and quantum chaos analysis.
Findings
Analytical and numerical results show good agreement.
The quantum resonance overlap criterion effectively indicates chaos onset.
The method enhances understanding of quantum chaos in nonlinear systems.
Abstract
In order to highlight the onset of chaos in the Pullen-Edmonds model a quantal analog of the resonance overlap criterion has been examined. A quite good agreement between analytical and numerical results is obtained.
