Differential Renormalization, the Action Principle and Renormalization Group Calculations
V.A. Smirnov

TL;DR
This paper introduces differential renormalization methods, demonstrating how renormalization group functions can be derived from natural constants, and discusses the role of the action principle within this framework.
Contribution
It provides a general prescription for differential renormalization and clarifies the connection between renormalization group functions and intrinsic constants.
Findings
Renormalization group functions are expressed through natural constants.
The status of the action principle is analyzed within differential renormalization.
A systematic approach to differential renormalization is presented.
Abstract
General prescriptions of differential renormalization are presented. It is shown that renormalization group functions are straightforwardly expressed through some constants that naturally arise within this approach. The status of the action principle in the framework of differential renormalization is discussed.
