Interacting anyons and the Darwin Lagrangian
N. Banerjee, Subir Ghosh

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel model for electrically charged anyons in 2+1 dimensions, where the Darwin term mediates their interactions, providing a new perspective on anyon dynamics.
Contribution
It presents a new Hamiltonian model for interacting anyons based on the Darwin term, differing from previous approaches like RPA calculations.
Findings
The Darwin term can effectively describe anyon interactions.
The proposed Hamiltonian aligns with existing models in certain limits.
Provides a foundation for further studies on anyon interactions.
Abstract
We propose a new model for interacting (electrically charged) anyons, where the 2+1-dimensional Darwin term is responsible for interactions. The Hamiltonian is comparable with the one used previously (in the RPA calculation).
