Production of soft photons from the quark-gluon plasma in hot QCD- Screening of mass singularities
A. Ni\'egawa

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that higher-order resummations in hot QCD effectively screen mass singularities, leading to a finite rate of soft photon production from quark-gluon plasma at leading logarithmic order.
Contribution
It introduces a higher-order resummation approach that screens mass singularities, providing a finite soft-photon production rate in hot QCD.
Findings
Mass singularities are screened by higher-order resummations.
Finite soft-photon production rate obtained at leading logarithmic accuracy.
Resummation improves the theoretical understanding of photon emission in quark-gluon plasma.
Abstract
It has been reported that, within the hard-thermal-loop resummation scheme, the production rate of soft real photons from a hot quark-gluon plasma exhibits unscreened mass singularities. We show that still higher-order resummations screen the mass singularities and obtain the finite soft-photon production rate to leading order at logarithmic accuracy .
