Embeddings for Non-Critical Superstrings
Nathan Berkovits, Nobuyoshi Ohta

TL;DR
This paper extends the concept of embedding superstring theories to non-critical central charges, showing a generalized hierarchy of embeddings for various N-extended superstrings and confirming conjectures about topological string vacua.
Contribution
It demonstrates that embeddings of N-extended superstrings exist at non-critical central charges, generalizing previous critical charge results and supporting conjectures about topological string relationships.
Findings
Embeddings are possible for non-critical central charges across N-extended superstrings.
The hierarchy of embeddings generalizes previous critical charge cases.
Supports Vafa's conjecture relating N=2 and N=3 topological strings.
Abstract
It was previously shown that at critical central charge, -extended superstrings can be embedded in -extended superstrings. In other words, . In this paper, we show that similar embeddings are also possible for -extended superstrings at non-critical central charge. For any , the embedding is . As was conjectured by Vafa, the embedding can be used to prove that topological strings are special vaccua of N=1 topological strings.
