On the Anomalous Magnetic Moment in Heterotic Superstrings
Andrea Pasquinucci, Kaj Roland

TL;DR
This paper calculates the one-loop anomalous magnetic moment of an electron in a 4D heterotic string theory, showing it vanishes in supersymmetric models, aligning with supersymmetric sum rules.
Contribution
It provides an explicit string-theoretic computation of the electron's anomalous magnetic moment and confirms its vanishing in supersymmetric models, linking string theory with quantum electrodynamics.
Findings
Anomalous magnetic moment computed at one loop in heterotic strings.
Vanishes in models with spacetime supersymmetry.
Supports supersymmetric sum rules in string theory.
Abstract
We explicitly compute the anomalous magnetic moment at one loop level for an ``electron'' in a 4d heterotic string theory. The anomalous magnetic moment vanishes if the model is spacetime supersymmetric, as required by the supersymmetric sum rules.
