Nonabelian Bosonization as Duality
C.P. Burgess, F. Quevedo

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that nonabelian bosonization in 1+1 dimensions can be understood as a specific instance of nonabelian duality, connecting Majorana fermions to the Wess-Zumino-Witten model.
Contribution
It generalizes previous abelian duality results to the nonabelian case, establishing a duality framework for nonabelian bosonization.
Findings
Derived the level-one Wess-Zumino-Witten model as the dual of Majorana fermions
Unified nonabelian bosonization with nonabelian duality transformations
Extended previous abelian duality results to the nonabelian context
Abstract
Applying the techniques of nonabelian duality to a system of Majorana fermions in 1+1 dimensions we obtain the level-one Wess-Zumino-Witten model as the dual theory. This makes nonabelian bosonization a particular case of a nonabelian duality transformation, generalizing our previous result (hep-th/9401105) for the abelian case.
