High energy scattering in 2+1 QCD
Miao Li, Chung-I Tan

TL;DR
This paper investigates high energy quark-quark scattering in 2+1 dimensional QCD using Verlinde and Verlinde's approach, revealing the failure of reggeization in the color singlet channel and discussing implications for higher dimensions.
Contribution
It provides an exact calculation of the color singlet quark-quark scattering in 2+1 QCD and shows reggeization does not occur in this channel.
Findings
Exact calculation of color singlet quark-quark scattering.
Reggeization fails for the color singlet channel.
Brief discussion on implications for 3+1 QCD.
Abstract
High energy scattering in 2+1 QCD is studied using the recent approach of Verlinde and Verlinde. We calculate the color singlet part of the quark-quark scattering exactly within this approach, and discuss some physical implication of this result. We also demonstrate, by two independent methods, that reggeization fails for the color singlet channel. We briefly comment on the problem in 3+1 QCD.
