A Locally Supersymmetric Action for the Bosonic String
Fiorenzo Bastianelli

TL;DR
This paper constructs a local supersymmetric action for the bosonic string by coupling a specific superconformal background to N=1 supergravity, building on recent insights into the fermionic string's background.
Contribution
It introduces a novel local supersymmetric formulation of the bosonic string using supergravity coupling, expanding the theoretical framework.
Findings
Successfully couples superconformal system to supergravity
Provides a local supersymmetric action for the bosonic string
Enhances understanding of string backgrounds and symmetries
Abstract
Recently Berkovits and Vafa have shown that the bosonic string can be viewed as the fermionic string propagating in a particular background. Such a background is described by a somewhat unusual superconformal system. By coupling it to supergravity I construct a local supersymmetric action for the bosonic string.
